Thanks to the children of the Simsbury First Church of Christ in Simsbury, Connecticut who held a mock medical clinic to raise money for a motorcycle ambulance for the Faith Mulira Health Care Center in Masooli, Uganda. Besides learning about Africa, the children learned the all-important lesson that – “when you give, you get back more.” While not as sophisticated as the kind of ambulance we are accustomed to in the United States, the availability of the motorcycle ambulance provides peace of mind to the Masooli clinic patients.

The children from the St. Thomas the Apostle elementary school in West Hartford, Connecticut raised $2000 for the purchase of mosquito nets to benefit the children of Masooli. This is the fourth year in a row in which the St. Thomas children have raised money to benefit schools in Uganda and the Faith Mulira Health Care Centre.
